Welcome to the iTRC

Welcome to the Information Technology Research Center (iTRC), a non-profit organization dedicated to the development, evaluation and application of advanced technologies to enhance education and scientific research.  The iTRC is located physically in Missoula, MT but works virtually on a local, state, regional, national and international level.

With a primary interest in digital equity and assisting programs that serve "at risk" students, the iTRC promotes the learning of 21st Century technology skills and information literacy skills. Be sure to explore what the iTRC is doing with the TRIO Quest project.

The staff of the iTRC bring decades of experience in the development, application and use of advanced technology.  Most modern technology-driven applications, programs, and solutions require consideration of four primary issues.

Access – Sufficient effective and efficient access to the necessary technology and telecommunications infrastructure to support the specified application or program.

Support – Sufficient technical support for the infrastructure and participants to make the project viable, responsive and sustainable.

Training and Professional Development – Sufficient training and professional development to develop, implement and maintain the demand and operations related to the application or program.

Applications and Content – Sufficient demand for applications and content to justify the investment and maintain the application or program.

The iTRC assists educational and non-profit programs in achieving an understanding of these critical issues to ensure their success in the application of advanced technologies.
