Overview

Mission:

To develop, evaluate and apply advanced technologies in an effective and efficient manner to enhance education and scientific research through collaboration with the public, private and non-profit sectors.

 Activities:

 ¨       Create cross-sector agreements and partnerships to optimize education and research opportunities for rapid deployment of new technologies

 ¨       Act as an infomediary between education and the technology sector to develop and deliver education and training that will result in a skilled national workforce

¨       Develop market-driven, relevant technology education and training programs to education with an emphasis on assisting programs that serve "at risk" populations

 ¨       Develop dynamic, non-traditional, just-in-time technology solutions and training

 ¨       Enhance technology enabled K-University teacher and faculty development

 ¨       Provide and develop student internship programs that will allow high school and higher education students to be involved in technology related research, development and production environments

 ¨       Provide research, development and training services to education and public programs to enhance the effective and efficient use of emerging technologies

 ¨       Develop and enhance national and international educational and research collaborations that demonstrate creative and productive uses of advanced technology
